    The Clinical Nurse Liaison (CNL) is responsible for education regarding the safe and effective use of Company's products in order to advance the outcomes of patients, the duties of caregivers, the performance of the hospitals and their systems, and the growth of the Company.  The CNL will provide peer to peer product and disease state knowledge to nurses and their nursing staff within an institution’s discharge planning and case management areas, pharmacy departments, and other areas where patients receive the company's products.  The educational sessions, clinical in-services and product training provided by the CNL will support safe and effective utilization and demand for the product which is indicated for the prophylaxis of venous thromboembolism (VTE) in adult patients hospitalized for an acute medical illness who are at risk for thromboembolic complications due to moderate or severe restricted mobility and other risk factors of VTE.

     

    The CNL is responsible for planning and conducting exploratory conversations in assigned territory with key targeted institutions, long term care facilities and skilled nursing facilities. These discussions will investigate the needs and challenges within the institution and will focus on product specific dialogue.

    Accountabilities

    • Coordinate and deliver education and clinical in-services to nurses and nursing staff in targeted hospitals and systems
    • Coordinate and conduct “discovery” conversations in assigned territory in order to develop and sustain a network of nursing KOL’s within territory
    • Respond to HCP unsolicited questions and document interactions appropriately within Company's system. When appropriate, escalate and submit unsolicited question requests to Company
    • Build authentic relationships based on value of experience, expertise and delivery of service to peer nurses and nursing staff in target hospitals and Skilled Nursing Facilities
    • Support professional nursing organizations and external scientific meetings in collaboration with Commercial colleagues

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree Required (BSN). Advanced Practice Nurse preferred (MSN, NP.)
    • Active nursing license in good standing.
    • 3-5 years clinical nurse experience required (cardiovascular floor or practice, anticoagulation clinic)
    • Relationships with institutions and/or hospitals in territory.
    • Previous pharmaceutical industry Nurse Educator /Liaison experience preferred.
    • A working knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements is needed.
    • Ability to work independently and familiarity with navigating hospital settings.
    • Exceptional organizational and time management skills are required to effectively carry out the responsibilities of this position.
    • Individuals must possess strong interpersonal skills including excellent verbal and written communication.
    • An ability to work in cross-functional relationships
    • Computer skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and programs such as Adobe® are expected.
    • A willingness to travel frequently within assigned geographical territory, including overnight travel. May be requested to travel out of territory to attend meetings and assist with coverage.
